The Howell Township Public School District will host a virtual Parent University during the week of June 1st through June 5th, for parents and guardians of current students. This event will be delivered through a virtual web-based platform that will allow registrants to participate in various workshops, on topics of their choosing, while still observing social distancing protocols from the safety of their homes.
The week-long series of offerings will begin on Monday, June 1st, when parents may join Superintendent, Joseph Isola, along with members of the District’s Administrative Team for an opening session. Following this, virtual workshops on TEN different topics will be held for parents on Tuesday, June 2nd through Friday, June 5th. Sessions are planned to last approximately 30 to 45 minutes each. Parents and guardians are invited to choose as many, or as few, sessions as they like.
Workshop topics include: Supporting Your Child & Managing Emotions; ABCs of Toilet Training; Summer Learning for English Language Learners; Tools@Home (for the parents of PreK children); Transitioning to Middle School; and many others.
